revisiting my list

deadseaAlmost two years ago, I felt blessed to have this TO-DO crossed off my list: Float on the Dead Sea making two “peace” signs.

It has been a while since I travelled. If you ask me, I miss it. Given my current circumstance, I seem challenged more and more to find time (to travel). I have the choice, yes, and it’s something I always tell other people; however, there are certain factors that outweigh my desire to travel.

But maybe we will SOON. We, meaning, my deciding factor involves my hubby. I just have to tweak the Travel Bucket List and include the Hubby’s.

I want to experience drinking coffee, or tea, at a typical Parisian cafe. I want to ride the Cable Car of San Francisco. Or New York subway. I want to walk on the streets of Prague.

And then some.

So maybe, just maybe, posting a memoir of me floating by the Dead Sea will be a reminder that I should travel again. But this time, with my lifelong partner. 🙂

(And for the record, each birthday wish always includes world peace.)

condura run 2015

Given my weight issues now, there is NO WAY I’d join one of the most renowned marathons in the Philippines: the 2015 CONDURA SKYWAY MARATHON. I stopped running since who-knows-when and never looked back.

But next year, maybe I should. I have been shoving a lot of my used-to-fit clothes at the most bottom part of my closet, it’s not even good.

My husband? The exact opposite. We switched habits lifestyles. He’s now the healthier one and I’m not. He joined the 21K category and I couldn’t be more proud. He has beaten his time from his last 21K run over two years ago, under the same organizer.

Waited for him at the finish line, this was one of the first photos I took after he finished his 21K run.

The last marathon I joined was back in 2013, 10K category. After which, a complete halt from it all — Too busy? Lacked enthusiasm? Focused on career? Got tired of being healthy? Or probably all these things?

Boom.

I simply ran of excuses (all pun intended) and now I’m mind-setting myself back into being healthy.

That’s a lot to take, being healthy, as I have to consider my diet and lifestyle. I’m a creature of habit and lately, everything has revolved around work & home.

Time to invest in my health again. After all, prevention is always better than the cure.

memoirs of paris

It has always been a dream to go to Paris, so when I had my friend went there to study photography, I was thrilled. More than thrilled, really. When I found out about it, I was like, “you are living my dream!”

For my friend to go there, somehow, made that dream come to life.Thank God for technology, years passed by like seconds. We never lost touch, and kept each other updated via social media.

So we went on with each other’s lives, making the most out of life, and living the best way we can to live the dreams. Obviously, mine was different, now that I got married. But if you ask us, visiting Paris is still on the Bucket List.

Enough stalling. So, going back to years passing by like seconds, my friend brought with him great Parisian finds to bring home for me. That & a lot of stories!

Somewhat, he gave us a taste of what’s ahead should my husband and I actualize our dreams of being there. (By the way, my husband LOVES the French macarons!)

Merci mon ami pour en cadeaux!
